Patrick and Maia met in September 2020 in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Langley BC. Patrick and Maia had been dating, quite unsuccessfully, for a few years prior and met on a casual agreement to run errands together at the hardware store. Neither had any expectations about the future. During a white water rafting date, Maia knew she had fallen in love with Patrick while standing underneath a frigid water fall in the Chilliwack river in October 2020. Patrick says he knew he had fallen in love before then. In March 2021, Patrick and Maia moved into a small townhouse in Chilliwack and began their lives together. Although the future was pretty certain, Patrick proposed to Maia in May 2024. Now, Patrick & Maia live in their dream home in the mountains in Kamloops, BC, and have been excitedly planning their wedding with the blessings of their six children.
